That's me. But you can call me, "V". I was born to feed people, to cook and eat my way across the globe and to enjoy this life!
I am an Antipodean private chef Living in Flamingo Heights, California, servicing the High and Low Deserts.
Although I myself have no allergies or restrictions and cook all manner of quality cuisines, I am typically sought for my strong vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free skills. I prepare fresh, organic, locally-sourced, ethically-raised, sustainable foods wherever possible, in and outside of clients' homes.
My pre-Dez career in L.A., saw me working as the private chef to some very high-profile celebrities and busy professionals, cooking for them in-home and traveling with them. I'm now the mother of a little desert rat we all call Magpie, and it was with her arrival in mind that I quit work-travel and the city and moved to the beautiful desert for a quieter, wilderness-based life six years ago.
I am thoroughly enjoying bringing my hyper-creative creations and exclusive, intimate, tailored experiences to visitors and permanent residents alike. How I cook is very personal. I derive great joy and satisfaction from fulfilling a client’s needs and desires, nourishing and pleasing them with my thoughtful, happy, pretty, colorful, creative and delicious food.
